Welcome to Adlington Town Council Website

Adlington is a village and civil parish in Lancashire near the West Pennine Moors, and the larger town of Chorley.
It became a separate parish in 1842 then grew into a town around the textile and coal mining industries.
The Leeds and Liverpool canal, runs through the village, and is overlooked by Rivington Pike

Planning Applications

Chorley Borough Council is the Planning Authority for the Adlington area and publishes a weekly list of planning applications on the Chorley Council website.

Meetings

Residents are always welcome to attend meetings.  A short “Open Forum” at the start of the meeting allows visitors to address the Council. Click below for dates.

Dial a Ride Local Community Transport Minibus Service in Adlington

Is available on Friday morning in Adlington but there is some flexibility to book a seat on another day.

All bookings have to be made at least a day in advance. No ‘on the day’ booking is allowed.

The return fare from your home in Adlington to Chorley and back is £4.80.
