Meetings

The Town Council is made up of a maximum of 12 elected or co-opted members of the public who live in the village or its immediate vicinity. Council Meetings are held in Adlington Library each month, usually on the third Monday, with the AGM held in May. All meetings are open to the public and there is an opportunity at the start of each meeting for representation to be made to the Council. The Council currently has 12 Councillors.

Dates of meetings

Residents are always welcome to attend meetings. A short “Open Forum” at the start of the meeting allows visitors to address the Council. Please note however that the Council cannot make decisions on any matter not included specifically on the agenda. It is therefore advisable to contact the clerk in advance if you are asking the Council to take any action on your behalf.
